"Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times
of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"
Acts 3:19
God saved me in a dramatic and miraculous way, alone in my
college room with a Bible, sometime near midnight in Febrary
1985 (see My testimony). This is
a poem I wrote about it.
At Midnight I Cried Out to You
At midnight I cried out to you,
And you covered me in weeping.
Words muffled, as through cotton-wool,
Heart breaking and soul aching.
At midnight I cried out to you;
My tears ran like a river.
I held my bloodied hands to you,
With nought to give the Giver.
At midnight I cried out to you;
You consumed my dross with fire.
You poured forgiveness on my head,
And pulled me from the mire.
At midnight I cried out to You;
You drowned my fears in mercy.
You bathed me in Your holy light
And gently then You called me.
At midnight I cried out to You;
You gave me faith to trust You.
Your brought me peace. You calmed the waves.
You taught me how to love You.
