Anna's New Parent Pages

(Pregnancy, Parenting and Autism)

"We are born helpless. As soon as we are fully conscious we discover loneliness. We need others physically, emotionally, intellectually; we need them if we are to know anything, even ourselves."

C.S.Lewis, The Four Loves

The story of these pages began with discussions on various Usenet groups and e-mail lists (particularly Parent-L, the Attachment Parenting breastfeeding list and SAH-AP, the stay-at-home mothers Attachment Parenting list), which evolved into the status of articles. As I have gone through life I have written about my thoughts and experiences, adding them to this ever-growing website, in the hope that sharing may inform or encourage others walking similar roads.

This website describes my journeys: my faith, the births of my three children, early motherhood, my various health problems and my recent diagnosis with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism). It is not professional advice, but I love to write and I love to share what I have learned.
